Aerosmith Concert!

As you all know, I got to attend the Cheap Trick/Aerosmith concert last night at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine and we had so much fun!

Getting there however, not fun at all! The anticipated hour of driving became into a 2 1/2 hour drive! Which typically wouldn't bother me, only that we were already an hour late for the concert! Needless to say, we missed most of Cheap Trick's set which at that point, we were more worried about making it on time to see Aerosmith! BUT, we did get to see Cheap Trick perform their last couple of songs and they sounded great! However didn't take any "worthy" pictures, so I won't post them up!

The place was jammed packed (of course) and fans were crazy excited (including myself) BUT I must say, even though we had a blast, I've seen better concerts before! I've been very lucky and seen many artists and bands perform and based on it all, I think my expectations of Aerosmith were pretty high! They were good and yes, it was fun BUT i've seen better performances! Non-the-less I'm glad we saw them and now I can mark it off my bucket list! Below is the set list from last night's concert! And, don't ask me how i got it! lol

Now, as far as seats go, we bought our tickets a little late so we got stuck with the "lawn" seats! It was either that or $400 on front row tickets and well, I wasn't gonna spend over $800 on a pair of tickets (very few artists i would do that for, oh yea..and for LAKER playoffs). Anyway, we managed to take some pictures and video of our favorite song! Enjoy the pictures!

It was an awesome time and I just need to point out, when they sang "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" the whole stadium just got emotional lol everyone took their phones or lighters out and like a classic ballad belt-out everyone started shifting back and forth! It was pretty amazing and I am sooooo happy I got to see them perform live after so many years!

"Cryin'" video shot by Julio Sagastume.
Enjoy!

Awesomeness right? After they said "goodbye" to the crowd, of course they did an encore of not only 1 song, but 3 SONGS! And what kind of an encore would it be if "Walk this Way" wasn't included in those 3 (which of course it was).

Anyway, they're still out there touring so if you get a chance definitely check them out!

Sucker Punch Trailer!

OK, so i lied lol (sort of) it's not exactly a Comic-Con post but I did want to show you guys the Sucker Punch teaser trailer! What do you guys think?

Comic-Con unveils surprises!

Alright guys, I thought what better way to end the COMIC-CON posts than by telling you about some of my favorite events during the COMIC-CON weekend! Secrets were revealed, unseen footage was finally seen and costumes made appearances!

Anyone else incredibly excited for Tron? I honestly feel like it's the movie I'm MOST looking forward to! COMIC-CON has been anticipating the release of this movie for the past 3 years! Giving us mini clips every year and finally this was the year we got more than just a 20 sec teaser! They revealed a whole new set of unseen footage accompanied by a new extended trailer that revealed looks for many of the gadgets used for the movie as well as the flying vehicles and new lightcycles! Not to mention, we get an exclusive look at Olivia Wilde in her Tron outfit which you can only imagine how amazing she looks! Olivia also let the fans know that although they did use special effects and green screens, a lot of the movie was actually shot in a real jumbo size set which allowed them to see everything visually as suppose to acting in front of nothing (green screen).

Pirates of the Caribbean also made a small guest appearance! Well, not exactly...Johnny Depp or should i say, Jack Sparrow, had pre-recorded a video that was played during the convention inviting fans to come out and support the next film upon its release! Oh yeah and he also mentioned the new leading lady, Penelope Cruz which made the crowd scream in excitement! The movie is set to be release May of next year!

Green Lantern of course, which i covered was a big talk not only because Ryan Reynolds is in the movie (duh!) but because everyone wanted to see the reveal of his costume! Which...didn't exactly happen?! A photo was released with only the top half of the costume visible but was later confirmed that it wasn't 100% sure that it would remain the same! The studio is thinking of changing it here and there so come next year we might see a totally different costume! On the other hand, all eyes were on Blake Lively, not because of her "talent" but because of her "assets".

It wouldn't be right if I didn't talk about Cowboys and Aliens! Of course, the cast was there and of course, Jon Favreau was there! They've only been shooting for a few weeks, but that didn't stop them from attending this year's COMIC-CON!!!!! They came by with an exclusive 8 minute clip and the fans loved it! Not to mention, this was the first time EVER that Harrison Ford has ever made an appearance at COMIC-CON!!! But before all the celebration and footage began, there was drama (ay,ay,ay) apparently two men were arguing about their seats being too close to each other's which resulted in a man being stabbed in the face by a pen! Yeap, by a pen!!!! Anyway, the man was arrested and when it was time for the cast to take their places, Harrison Ford walked out with handcuffs and two police officers escorting him out to his seat which I have to say was pretty funny! Gotta say he has a great sense of humor! Oh and p.s. Olivia Wilde is in this movie too!!!

And last but not least, Avengers!!! Fans got a HUGE surprise when the whole cast made a special appearance during a panel discussion!!! The cast and crew has only been in production for a week and somehow they managed to play a rough cut of a scene in which Hugo Weaving (as Nazi Baddle red Skull) searches for a mysterious item that links Captain America to Marvel's other 2011 property Thor, which was then followed by the cast premiering the first trailer for Thor. The most exciting moment for fans? When Mark Ruffalo joined everyone on stage and was officially declared as the new Bruce Banner/Hulk replacing Ed Norton in the role.

***Video i found from it***

Ahhhhh, so much craziness and exclusive clips happened! Wish i could sit here and tell you about ALL OF THEM! There were tons of shows promoting as well! Glee, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Fringe, Leverage, Community, Chuck, V, True Blood and many many more! Not to mention, Smallville of which they promised their fans, this would be "the best season yet". If you guys want to see interviews of footage from your favorite shows just google it or youtube it! I'm sure you can find it!

Had a blast and I can't wait to attend again, next year!

More, SUCKER PUNCH!

You guys saw tons of pictures from the Sucker Punch press conference, now...i wanted to share the official poster boards for the movie and what they told me about their characters!

Blondie.

Vanessa Hudgens: "I play Blondie, I know, yes...It's kind of ironic (points to her hair) she is in this whole crazy world and she starts off as kind of the follower but its fun because i feel like in a lot of the fight sequences, she becomes a total badass which is why its funny because it's a complete difference as well as the "Blondie" thing."

Rocket.

Jena Malon: "I play Rocket and basically, Babydoll goes to this mental institution and she meets these characters that she sort of brings into these old realities and I'm one of the rebel rousers, I sort of help rally the troops and form a really powerful bond with Babydoll"

Amber.

Jamie Chung: "I play Amber and she's kind of the first to jump on board with Babydoll's plan, she's really sweet and she's extremely loyal to her friends but she's always wanting to keep the group together because all she really has are her friends."

Babydoll.

Emily Browning: "I play Babydoll, who i guess... she's the only character whose story you get to see outside of the asylum and she sort of comes into the institution and she sort of has very little time to escape and rallies all these girls together and tries to get them to help her escape and for them to escape as well and it sort of goes into her imagination a lot which is a really cool feeling, that being, at the center of those kind of fantasies, it's really cool."

Madam Gorski.

Carla Gugino: "I play a polish psychiatrist! A psychiatrist named Dr. Gorski in the insane asylum which is sort of in the world of 1960's kind of in, I guess Zach's (director) world of the 1960's there's a certain hype and reality to it which is what's very cool and the time and place is kind of questionable and then in the alternate world i play the choreographer/Madame of the Broffle who is Madame Gorski and she has a really interesting journey because she's a woman who's clearly been through a lot before and is sort of in charge in taking care of these girls and she does it in a very strict sort of tough love way but ultimately there's probably no one who can understand them better than her."

Sweet Pea.

Abbie Cornish was not there when we did interviews so we weren't able to speak to her about her character! Love her costume though!

Green Lantern, COMIC-CON mania!

For what i witnessed, Green Lantern was probably one of the most talked about movies around COMIC-CON this weekend!!! Like i stated before in a previous post, we arrived late to the actual conference therefor, didn't video it BUT i did tape record it, I was going to share some quotes from the cast BUT i found the video to the press conference on youtube! SO instead of boring you with more typing, below is the video that a different outlet captured! Check it out!

The video below i borrowed from fandango.com and it was during 1:1 interviews with the press! Enjoy and thanks again for checking in to my blog!
