Most of you guys know how passionate I am and have become towards this topic! The oil spill has affected so many people and has destroyed much of the wildlife and it's something that really gets me upset! As many of you have heard, BP has finally gotten the oil to stop leaking! It's the first they've been able to do so since mid April (4/20/10) to be exact. This makes me incredibly happy and shows signs of progress. However, the war is far from over, many animals are still dying and are endangered not to mention all the locals who have been affected by it! Which is where you guys come in!
There's MANY organizations that can use your help!!! Even if you only have $1 to donate, every bit helps! I am highly involved with a couple of charities, one being Global Green USA and the other being The Surfrider Foundation. These organizations are known for helping the planet in every way they can! Please visit their websites and donate!
Also, for One Tree Hill fans like myself, Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols have made a huge impact to the cause! Aside form donating money, they themselves have visited the gulf coast to see how they can help and they've also taken it to their twitter page @SophiaBush/@Aus10Nichols to promote the cause! Visit http://www.crowdrise.com/austinnichols and http://www.crowdrise.com/sophiabush which is their crowdrise page and donate there! If you make a donation of $50 or higher they will personally send you and autographed photo! But like i said, every bit helps! if you absolutely can't donate spread the word to your friends!
