Green Lantern, COMIC-CON mania!

For what i witnessed, Green Lantern was probably one of the most talked about movies around COMIC-CON this weekend!!! Like i stated before in a previous post, we arrived late to the actual conference therefor, didn't video it BUT i did tape record it, I was going to share some quotes from the cast BUT i found the video to the press conference on youtube! SO instead of boring you with more typing, below is the video that a different outlet captured! Check it out!

The video below i borrowed from fandango.com and it was during 1:1 interviews with the press! Enjoy and thanks again for checking in to my blog!

MORE COMIC-CON MADNESS!

THE MADNESS CONTINUES...

I said i would have several COMIC-CON blog posts and here is the next one! I wanted to make sure to take several outdoor pictures so you can get a vibe of all the craziness surrounding the convention center! All of my press work actually took place next door (at the Hilton hotel) the only thing I did inside the convention was my credential work, but when i finished and came out, there was still tons of people out (it was about 5pm) and there was no sign of anyone or anything slowing down!!

COOL ENCOUNTER ALERT!!!!

On my way to the car i bumped into someone who's always been very nice to me, I've gotten the pleasure to interview him before and he's so fun! Not to mention, I'm addicted to his show, Leverage's own, Aldis Hodge.

COOL PICTURE ALERT!

Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz new movie, The Green Hornet is due out in January and of course like every movie Cameron is in, everyone is excited for its release! SOOO...we just had to take a picture of the awesome car used in the movie!

And last but not least, I had to represent and post this picture up! One of the movies we worked hard for! It won't be releasing until June '11 BUT trust me, it will be worth the wait!

2010 COMIC-CON!

Alright guys, by now you all know i attended COMIC-CON this weekend in San Diego and let me tell you, I had a blast! My only real work day was Saturday where I had a few press conferences to attend along with some interviews with some of the cast for 'The Green Lantern' and 'Sucker Punch'. Now, we tried to take as many pictures as we could, but we weren't completely successful, specially when it came down to Ryan Reynolds, which by everyones comments/requests from Twitter and Facebook...everyone wanted Ryan pictures! I did post one on my twitter page that we captured right before he exited BUT we didn't get any great shots of him alone (or during the conference) we actually arrived late, so by then we couldn't get up and be all over the place! The picture below was taken from our seats as they were in the middle of the conference! I was trying to keep cool and collective but it was hard considering that Ryan Reynolds was in the same room as i was! So glad we got to meet him, he was very nice, funny and charming! Oh yeah and Blake Lively was also in attendance (she's also in the movie, just pointing it out lol).

We also got to cover the 'Sucker Punch' conference and interviews which was a lot of fun! We took many pictures and I have tons of video footage which i will put up later in the day! In the meantime, enjoy the pictures below!

*** Check back later for video footage! ***

SAW 3D aka SAW VII

SCARY MOVIE GO-ERS, GET READY!

SAW 3D is set to be released on October 22nd and buzz has already begun! I don't know much about you guys, BUT I LOVE scary movies, i hate but love to get scared, if that makes any sense! I've seen the whole franchise and of course, keeping with the Halloween tradition, SAW VII is no exception! In honor of the film being released in the next couple of months i figured I'd share some exciting news for all of the SAW fans, the Guinness World Record, will feature the SAW franchise as their, "most successful horror movie series" beating out other competition such as the 'Nightmare On Elm Street' franchise and the 'Halloween' franchise. Pretty impressive, I'd say! Make sure you guys catch the movie when it hits a theatre near you, it's suppose to be the last one of the series but come on, it's Hollywood, who believes that now a days! In the meantime, here's the official and final SAW 3D trailer, enjoy!

Help those affected!

Most of you guys know how passionate I am and have become towards this topic! The oil spill has affected so many people and has destroyed much of the wildlife and it's something that really gets me upset! As many of you have heard, BP has finally gotten the oil to stop leaking! It's the first they've been able to do so since mid April (4/20/10) to be exact. This makes me incredibly happy and shows signs of progress. However, the war is far from over, many animals are still dying and are endangered not to mention all the locals who have been affected by it! Which is where you guys come in!

There's MANY organizations that can use your help!!! Even if you only have $1 to donate, every bit helps! I am highly involved with a couple of charities, one being Global Green USA and the other being The Surfrider Foundation. These organizations are known for helping the planet in every way they can! Please visit their websites and donate!

Also, for One Tree Hill fans like myself, Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols have made a huge impact to the cause! Aside form donating money, they themselves have visited the gulf coast to see how they can help and they've also taken it to their twitter page @SophiaBush/@Aus10Nichols to promote the cause! Visit http://www.crowdrise.com/austinnichols and http://www.crowdrise.com/sophiabush which is their crowdrise page and donate there! If you make a donation of $50 or higher they will personally send you and autographed photo! But like i said, every bit helps! if you absolutely can't donate spread the word to your friends! Through facebook, twitter or myspace...where there's a will, there's a way! Below is a link to the video that Sophia and Austin brought back with them from the coast...check it out if you haven't already!

Joey Greco Interview...

I found this interview I did with 'Cheaters' host, Joey Greco late last year and wanted to share it with you guys! It was a fun interview and he was very sweet!

Celebrating a decade of dramatic face-to-face confrontations, Cheaters returns this fall with a whole new season! The show follows real-life couples with infidelity issues who are helped by private investigators, and then, with the help of Joey Greco, they confront the suspects allegedly cheating on their significant others. The new season is scheduled to air on September 21st, and we got all the juicy details straight fromCheaters host Joey Greco.

Delmy Barillas: Cheaters’ 10th anniversary is coming up. How are you feeling?

Joey Greco: Great! I think we’re going to have a party! [Laughs] No, seriously…I can’t believe we’ve been on as long as we have, and it’s really an honor and quite flattering to have been on the air that long . On one hand, it makes me kind of sad because, obviously, we’re on because people just don’t get it, but on the other hand, someone’s got to do it.

DB: Tell me about yourself. You have a degree in Psychology?

JG: I do. I have a Master’s in educational counseling and a Bachelor’s in psychology.

DB: How exactly did you get involved in the hosting world?

JG: You know, Delmy, that is a mystery because I don’t know. I never thought I would be using those two — acting and psychology — on the same show. My agent had a call for an audition and she said, “Are you interested in hosting a reality television show?” and I just went, “Well, why not? Let’s take a look at it and see what it’s about,” and I really wasn’t too familiar with the show at that point.

DB: You came on board a couple years after it aired…

JG: Exactly, and obviously I found out quickly what it was about and booked it, and she said, “What do you think? You want to do it?” and at that time, I didn’t think the show would be on for much longer so I said, “Sure, why not? Let’s give it a whirl and see how long it lasts,” and here we are ten years later!

DB: What do you think it is about this kind of show and this type of genre that keeps people coming back for more and continuing to watch it?

JG: I think what makes us relevant is, number one, it’s about relationships, because everyone wants to be or has been in a relationship. Look at all the reality shows that are relationship-based. And the second thing is infidelity is something that all of us have dealt with or know someone’s who’s dealt with, and that’s what makes it compelling, because everyone can relate to it pretty well.

joey_greco2_20090916DB: Tell me about your involvement with the show. How much input do you have or not have?

JG: I don’t have too much interaction on the investigating side. They have a team of detectives and private investigators that, to be honest, do all the work. Then, when we know the chances are good that we have something that looks pretty solid, I’ll meet the client. It’s a difficult situation because it is sensitive, but we try to make them understand that it is a television show as well, but sometimes you have to be very careful on how you handle certain circumstances.

DB: I know you’ve been doing the show for a long time, but do you still get uncomfortable when it comes time to do confrontations, or are you used to it?

JG: There are times when some might be a little bit more dangerous. There are times when the suspect might have a police record or domestic violence. There are certainly times when I pay a little bit more attention to what’s going on, but yes, I’d say the adrenaline always comes up a little bit more when you’re going into a situation like that, but I think I’ve learned how to manage it.

DB: As for the future with the show, do you see yourself staying on board until it lasts, or is there something else you want to pursue?

JG: I don’t know how to answer that, Delmy. [Laughs] Is this for the record or off the record?

DB: Definitely for the record!

JG: Then I’m just happy to be doing what I’m doing, as long as they keep us on the air! There are always opportunities that come up, personally and professionally, but I think what’s great about the company I work with is the fact that they allow me to do other projects. As long as our relationship continues like that, I don’t see anything changing for the future.

DB: How has hosting Cheaters affected your personal life?

JG: People run out when I go to restaurants, and it makes me a little self-conscious because I don’t know if it’s just me, or they’re with someone they’re not supposed to be with. Honestly, I am a really shy person and it’s always flattering when people see and recognize you, but sometimes it can be a little overwhelming.

DB: Are you currently single?

JG: Well Delmy, where are you going with this? Are you going to hook me up? [Laughs] This is what I always tell one of my film coaches: She always goes, “Aren’t you dating somebody?” and I always go, “Are you bringing anything to the table?”

DB: Is it hard to be out there, though? When you’re trying to date someone, do you find them sometimes being paranoid or intimidated because of who you are?

JG: I don’t think that really comes into play because I probably wouldn’t be out with them if we didn’t have some sort of a connection. Hopefully we would’ve been passed that stage before we’d be there.

DB: What can we expect from the new season coming up? Anything different?

JG: I don’t know if I can say there’s really anything different because we know that things continue the same way, and we probably will have more of the same of what you’ve seen in the past, but what we will still continue to try to do is work toward getting past the initial reason why we’re there and get us back into what essence brought us there, which is where the relationship goes bad to the point where you would lie to someone that you profoundly care about.

DB: Are you aware there is a Cheaters version in Spanish?

JG: Yes, I am, and I think it’s flattering, but the guy is still wearing the leather jacket, and that was so seven seasons ago! He should’ve at least updated his wardrobe if he’s going to knock me off anyway.

DB: [Laughs] Have you updated your wardrobe?

JG: Just something black — something elegant in its simplicity.

Make sure to check your local listings to catch Joey Greco and the 10th anniversary of Cheaters.
